Hey Everyone,

Well so that you all know, next week is the beginning of my last transfer. Wow the time has flown by. According to the rumors (or what President told me this morning) i will now be leaving Solola and going to finish my mission in another area, but I will let you all know next wednesday. All I know is that Solola has changed me forever, I love this place.

This week we had an awesome miracle! We had a baptism!! Eva Yoxon was baptized. We found her when I was with Elder Kendall. She is the girfriend of the guy who is right next to her in the pictures. She has shown a lot of faith as she has prepared for baptism because her family is not in agreement but she made her own decision and has a strong testimony of the church. We were also able to bring an investigator to her baptism and he sat on the front row and was able to feel the spirit during the service. He should be baptized very soon now, his name is Jose Alfredo.

This time in Solola has flown and I am so thankful for every minute of it! I can't wait to continue working hard. I have 1 more change to do some good as a missionary but there is also a whole lifetime of doing good waiting as well. This is the true church. There are miracles and power in this gospel. Love you all, have a great week.

Hey everyone,

This week was full of miracles so I am going to try and describe 3 of my favorite miracles really quick.

On Divisions with a missionary in Pana we were knocking doors in a labrinth like area because all of the appointments fell. As we were knocking we did not have very much success. But as Elder Mendez knocked one door I saw an old lady in Guatemala traditional clothing hanging up clothes to dry. I thought to myself, I'm going to go talk to this lady. I walked towards her and began to talk to her, she was hard of hearing but we were able to begin a lesson with her. She spoke more Quiche than Spanish but we were able to find out that she was a member and was baptized 2 years ago in the capital and then had moved and because of the move had stopped going to church. We were able to share a scripture and invite her and explain to her where the church was and on Sunday she went to church!! I know that thought to talk to her was the spirit guiding.

This week we are going to have a baptism of a girl named Eva Yoxon. Elder Kendall and I received the reference of this lady and well, her boyfriend is a member and she has been attending recently and loves the church. She has made the decision to be baptized this Sunday! So this Sunday we will have a baptism.

We also found another guy named Jose Alfredo Chuj as a reference from our branch mission leader. We went and he was super positive, he began reading the book of Mormon right away and knew it was true before he even went to church on Sunday. On Sunday morning we were waiting outside for him and he didn't come for a long time, he called us telling us he was sick but we were able to convince him to come for at least 1 hour. He came! after a lot of prayers and many minutes he showed up and had a great time in church. He is set for baptism on the 31st of July

Yesterday for Pday we went as a zone to the waterfall. As soon as I get the pictures I will send them but they have still not gotten to me! There are miracles happening and I can't wait to report more next week but until then I hope you all have a great week! Love you,

Hey everyone,

I hope that you're all doing well! This week was a great week for us as we saw lots of miracles and worked hard to find new people. This Sunday we brought 3 new investigators to church that had never gone before. One of them being a lady named Elena that lives right behind the church. Like seriously right behind, a lot of the men in the ward knew her because when they would kick the soccer ball over the fence she would throw it back to them. So it wasn't hard for her to become friends with lots of the members.

We are also working with another family. Abel Jiatz and Sussana Tale, they are a couple and the husband is a member. The wife is not and she has a strong testimony of the gospel. The only thing that stops them is the fear of marriage. They live together and have alrighty started a family but one thing I will never understand thanks to the gospel is the fear of this commitment. We are going to keep on teaching them and we have put the goal for their marriage for this Saturday. So keep them in your prayers because if they do it I know they will be a family sealed in the temple in a year.

We are going to see miracles this week. Tomorrow is our Pday so that is always a good thing and then after that it is off to work. I hope that you all have a great week and love every minute of it! Love y'all.

Hey Everyone,

Last week was a good week. We keep on working hard and finding lots of people that can progress. Yesterday we contacted a lady who lives right behind the church, like the church is in her backyard and she had never gone! So we plan to work with her and her family. We keep working with the members to find investigators and for the most part we are finding success. We had our leaders council last week and it was probably my last one. It was a good one and today I feel that we gave a pretty inspiring zone training ( Also a really good chance that it was my last one)

Yesterday for Pday we went to a musuem in Pana that talks about the lake and also had a section about a city that is in the lake that existed a long time ago. That brought my thoughts to The Book of Mormon and when Christ died. As we went through all the pictures of this underwater city the lady who was taking us through came up and said " In your book it talks about this city right? That's what I've heard" We were able to explain to her a little and invite her to read the book of Mormon. But it was super cool seeing those pictures. If it was one of the cities destroyed in the book of Mormon, as they say in Spanish " solo Dios sabe" Only God knows.

As for a funny story, today we had a zone training. And we thought we would be nice and invite all the missionaries to cake. So I sent my companion to buy a cake with another missionary while I prepared the Workshop. I told him to buy a cake with fruit on it. He came back with a "chocolate cake" that costed less. He didn't want to spend a lot. So we all began to eat but this chocolate tasted funny. Then I spoke up," I think this is coffee" We all smelled it and yep... coffee cake. We stopped eating and said a prayer to repent. After I called the mission Presidente to repent for the zone. He just laughed and told us to be more careful next time and to go with the cake with fruit on it next time!

I hope you all have a great week! I love you all

Hey everyone,

Well this week in Solola was a pretty good first week! We worked hard and actually had quite a few investigators in church. And we actually have a few more progressing as well.

The coolest thing that happened was yesterday with one of our former investigators Lucy. You may remember having heard of her but after a month of not visiting her we went back. Turns out she has continued to read the Book of Mormon without us pressuring her. And she has read quite a bit and well wants to make a change in her life. We left her with something to read and plan on working with her.

This week for Pday we went to some waterfalls. It was a nice hike through a lot of onion fields and well here are some pictures. I'll send more next week.

We also did service yesterday helping people harvest their onions. Let me say that smell certainly sticks but it was a lot of fun to give service. I love you All and hope you have a great week!
Love,
