Hey Everyone!

This week has been great and I just wanted to tell you about some of the many miracles we have had, Because we have certainly had a week full of miracles.

We recently found a man and when we contacted him at is door we asked if he had hear about the Book of Mormon and if he would like to learn more. His reply was " I like 3rd Nephi when Christ comes to the Americas" That obviously shocked us and we asked him if he was a member and he said no but he has family that lives in Woodscross and Bountiful Utah that are members and talk to him. Well he has been progressing a ton and working hard to live the commandments in preparation for his baptism this Sunday. We taught him about the Word of Wisdom and he told us about how he has been addicted to tobacco since he was 13, he is now 46 but he said he wanted to give it up and so we gave him a blessing to help him receive some divine help as well. He said that during the blessing he felt like a warm fire like feeling in his neck as I gave him the blessing and for a week he has not smoked, since the blessing he has not smoked. As for the Law of Chastity he called us yesterday and told us he talked to his girlfriend ( who he has been living with for 10 years) and this Saturday he will be getting married to her! I am so happy we found this guy because the Lord really did prepare him to hear this message.

Yesterday, we had planned a family home evening with a member family and a family that is investigating the church, but it was raining and the investigators didn't want to walk outside in the rain with the baby. So we said a little prayer that the rain would stop and then sang a hymn and it immediately stopped raining after the hymn even though it had been raining for about 4 hours straight. It was a little miracles but it helps show me that God is watching out for us always and will always help us if our intentions are worthy of his help.

I love the mission and know that I am converted to this gospel now. But I have also learned I need to become converted to the missionary work! I know this church is true and I know we have a God of miracles because I have seen them and I hope to continue seeing many more as I live this Gospel. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week.
 Love,
Elder Daybell

Happy Independence Day everyone! For those of you who did not know today is the day of independence for Guatemala and everyone is celebrating today, it may be a hard day to find lessons and people to teach but we will work hard!

This has been a tough week with all that has been going on! This last Sunday not many people attended church, including members because of all the parades that they had to participate in! But we did have one family come to church and we are working hard with them so they can get married and be baptized. They have seen the gospel change their lives as they said that if the missionaries had not visited them they would still not be together. Now we just need to get them married and help them have an eternal perspective so that they can go to the temple in a year!

Yesterday I went somewhere that I haven't been for about a year and I was so happy... we went to Walmart! There is a Walmart here and a mall next to it and I had a tiny bit of culture shock in Walmart as I am not used to a store so big! But it was great and I even bought some snacks that I haven't had in forever like Jellybeans. it was great!

Today we had a great district meeting and learned a lot about real intent. We learned to always pray with real intent and the importance of doing so. Because if we go to a lesson and say a pray that doesn't make it to heaven, how do we expect our investigators to do the same in order to receive an answer from the spirit! So always say prayers that you know have made it to heaven, as President Hinckley said " Talk to God" Not just talk and not listen. If there is one thing I have learned it is might prayer, which is mentioned 7 times in the Book of Mormon by the way. look for it!

I know God answers prayers and that when we talk to him with real intent we will know what to do in everyday and every moment! Love you all,
Happy Independence Day!

This week has been a little crazy. We got up nice and early (3 A.M.) on my birthday to go to the changes and it was quite the day! I got a package that made my day better so that was good! As for saying goodbye to everyone in La Noria that was hard but I got an email from my good friend President Perdido so at least I can still keep up with all that is going on there. My new area is called Linda Vista, or beautiful sight in english. It is really cool because it is on the highest hill in the city of Guatemala and you can see just about the whole city! It is a ward so it is huge compared to my last area. I am still getting used to it and for me it is pretty chilly in the capital!

We have had some great experiences though, me and my new companion, Elder Casillas from Mexico. He told me when I got there that we changed areas with the Sisters in our district for problems that they had had and well it is like we are opening an area because we both have never been there before. It has been a great challenge and we have actually found some great investigators and if we work really hard we could have 2 baptisms this week. It will take faith to see these miracles but I know we can do it. We have been working a lot with the members here. a lot of the young men are willing to visit with us and the Bishop and our Ward Mission Leader help us so much that from the first day I have been excited to be here, it's different but I am so excited to see what miracles we can see here.

I don't have a ton to say because well, I am still getting used to everything and little by little I will be able to tell you all more about what is happening here! I love you all! Sorry there are no pictures, my camera is at the house. Whoops!

Hey everyone,
I don't have much time today but thanks to all for the birthday wishes! Tomorrow is my birthday and it will be on the road because tomorrow I have changes. I will be leaving La Noria and moving on. It will be a little tough but all will be well!
We have continued working hard and have some great investigators here that are progressing and I am leaving them with my companion so I know that they are in good hands. This week we also changed houses. We Moved! It wasn't that bad because I have gotten used to that over my life. A scorpion was there to welcome us to the new house, which was normal to me. It is the 3rd one I have seen and killed but it was new for my companion and he was scared and not used to it so I hope all goes well for him with my leaving. haha It is going to be hard leaving, my companion was awesome and we did some good work but now it is time to do what the Lord wants us to do!
I love you all and hope you have an amazing week. I know this church is true and I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is the most correct book in this world that will bring us closer to God.
Love,
Elder Daybell
